Infinity by Vlad Tenu is a 5m tall Corten steel sculpture inspired by molecular crystalline structures found in nature—a physical manifestation of a mathematically continuous, twisting surface that evokes a three-dimensional interpretation of the infinite loop symbol.

Rooted in symmetry, the column is designed to be positioned on a mirrored base, allowing its geometry to seamlessly extend into the reflected space. In this interplay of form and illusion, the sculpture explores the paradox of finitude and infinity: a looping structure that dissolves origin and end, suggesting that what appears limited is, in essence, boundless.

OPEN AIRport 2025

The sculpture is currently being installed as part of OPEN AIRport, an ambitious project that creates a sculpture park in front of the newest terminal of the international airport of Iasi in Romania. Seven sculptors have been invited to create special public art pieces on the theme of ‘Trajectories & Transformations’, resulting in a collective open air exhibition for the airport visitors.

The initial version of this sculpture was made of timber in 2023 and it was entitled Infinite Column. Designed as a modular assembly system, the initial design was exhibited at Sustain Art Village in Timisoara 2023.
