Molecular Splash!
Inspired by nature and self-organisation of matter, this light sculpture proposal alludes to the intrinsic correlations between nature and mathematics, physics and chemistry. A dynamic composition of globular entities orbiting around each other illustrates a magnified representation of the fascinating interactions between the molecules of water.
A better understanding of nature’s processes will help us tackle the current environmental issues and inspire us to cultivate a legacy of action and reverence for the natural world.
The visitor experience
Through its fluid forms and dynamic composition, the sculpture invites viewers both from the canal or the side walks to contemplate the mysterious forces that shape our universe.
Just as water molecules effortlessly bond and interact to form intricate structures, the sculpture embodies the inherent order and harmony that emerge from seemingly chaotic processes.
An animated light pattern creates the illusion of a constantly moving cluster of globules alluding to he interconnectedness of all things, from the smallest cellular structures to the vast expanses of space.
